Love Never Fails Scripture – Part 30
July 5, 2012 in Doers TV Christian Blog with 0 Comments
The Love Never Fails Scripture can be found in 1 Corinthians 13 :8.
This is what we have been teaching on in the last several It’ Time To Believe posts.
I can not over estimate how important it is to believe the Love Never Fails Scripture, to keep us as Christians from falling and failing unnecessarily.
But there is a MAJOR challenge to believing this promise of God that we touched on in part 29 of this series. We talked about how hard it was for many Christians to believe that God’s true love never fails, because many of them feel like God has failed them by not answering their prayers.
When this feeling of believing God has forsaken and failed you is not dealt with and cast down to pit of hell from where it came from, this can be devastating to having a good relationship with the Father. That is why the Word of God teaches us to get our thoughts in line with His Word.
Listen to what 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJV) says; “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
It is a strong hold when you do not believe that God’s Love Never Fails. But the Good News is God has given every Born-Again Spirit Filled Believer the power to cast down this strong hold.
But when we do not cast down this strong hold of unbelief against the Love Never Fails Scripture, we can end up having our hearts turn into anger and rage towards God, like Job’s wife did.
In Job 2:1-10 Job’s wife told Him to curse God and die, because she became very angry at God for allowing Job (and herself) to go through great loss, devastation, persecution, and trails in their life.
Will you also curse God and Die, or will you love God in-spite of?
There are those who love God BECAUSE OF and those who also LOVE GOD IN-SPITE OF. Yes, we love because he first loved us (1 John 4:19) but we also need to Love God in-spite of.
When we truly love God with ALL, we love him not just because of what He did for us, but also we love Him in spite of what He didn’t do for us.
Job 2:9 (KJV) “Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.”
Let’s examine what that word curse really means here in Job 2:9. It means; the opposite of blessing and adoring. It is the opposite of praising God. It means to renounce; give up, resign, to refuse to follow, obey, or recognize.
Job’s wife was telling Job to give up on God.
Have you given up on believing and expecting God to do what His Word promised he would do?
Have you given up on God answering your prayers? Have you given up on God giving you the desires of your heart?
Have you given up on god getting you out of this ungodly debt and financial crisis?
Have you given up on God avenging you from the enemies who are trying to destroy you?
Have you given up on the exceeding abundantly above all you ask or thing promise of God (Ephesians 3:20)
Have you resigned yourself to the false belief that God really just does not care about your situation?
Have you resigned yourself to the logic that if God does care why is he sitting back doing nothing?
Have you resigned yourself to the belief that the Bible obviously does not really mean what it says about all th0se promises of God?
Have you resigned your trust in God and your desire to please God?
Have you resigned your patience with God?
Have you refused to follow God when it comes to trusting in Him?
Are you refusing to obey God in the areas He let you down in?
Are you refusing to walk by faith because you believe it never will work for you anyway?
Are you refusing to recognize God as your Lord because He has disappointed you greatly?
Are you refusing to pray without ceasing because you do not believe God will answer the majority of your prayers anyway?
Are you refusing to look at God as a friend, because you say, a real friend would help you at an urgent time of need?
Have you refused to give God praise, honor, and worship because deep in your heart you feel He does not deserve it?
We can pretend like these questions and thoughts we have against God does not exist or we can be real and address then head on- which is what we are doing now.
As a young immature ignorant Christian, I use to always wondered in my mind and admire those Believers in Christ, who I thought, at the time, had ever reason, to give up on God, resign from following God or simply stay mad at God (because that is what cursing God is – being mad at Him) because of what God didn’t do for them or the tragedy in their lives that God allowed to happen to them.
But here what set me free from this “victim mentality against God” (a mentality that thinks of God as the Vivian and you as the victim) I had a revelation one day that God created me for Him, and not Him for me, that is what set me free.
Please do not take this the wrong way or take it as me being insensitive to the trails and struggles you are going through – but here it is – God can do whatever He wants to do with you because He owns you and created you for Him.
We belong to God. God doesn’t belong to us. (In the context of what we have been discussing).
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says; “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Here is what I am trying to convey with the help of the Holy Spirit; when we transform our minds from believing God was created for our pleasure, to we were created for His pleasure and BELIEVE this; the Love Never Fails Scripture in 1 Corinthians 13:8 becomes a reality not just a verse in a book.
God loves you and please know this; but now it is the season to prove to God how much we love Him.
God bless you and please leave a comment now.
In the love of Christ,
Pastor David.
